Land Between the Lakes Triathlon - Albert Lea (as told by Brett Whyte) I just got home from my first tri of the season. The Albert Lea Land Between the Lakes Triathlon was great fun. The swim was very very cold. I had a full body wet suit but my feet and face were painfully numb coming out of the water. Garret Ping gave me his neoprene skull cap to wear but I forgot it at home. Oh well, maybe my scalp will grow some hair from the shock. The bike went great. I had the fastest bike split and was leading the race coming into the second transition. That was a first for me and was way cool. Running is not my forte and I was passed by three people on the run and finished 4th overall out of 102. In my age group I was second. Next week is the dreaded Alp Bl'Huez time trial. Tailwinds, Brett
